Today and every day we are grateful for our support staff—our behind-the-scenes heroes—bus drivers, paraeducators, kitchen helpers, recess monitors, office staff, custodians, and more.
In the past two weeks, our classified staff has gone above and beyond to serve our students and staff. In honor of Education Support Professionals Week, we want to share a special thank you to our school support staff for helping us navigate the coronavirus outbreak in our region.
First, a huge shout-out to our school nurses, both classified and certificated, who are on the front lines of this public health challenge. Your expertise and dedication to keeping our students safe and healthy so appreciated, especially right now.
Custodians, thank you for going above and beyond to keep our schools, classrooms and workspaces safe, clean and sanitized.
Facilities, maintenance and grounds crews, thank you for supporting our custodians and ensuring our schools have the cleaning supplies they need.
Bus drivers and monitors, thank you for wiping down rows and rows of seats to sanitize buses after each route.
Kitchen staff, thank you for keeping our food and kitchen areas safe and sanitary while ensuring students continue to have nutritious meals.
Office staff, thank you for answering the many family and staff questions this situation has generated.
Paraeducators, thank you for continuing to show up for our students every day to support their learning.
Safety and security staff, thank you for keeping our school communities safe every day.
Recess monitors, crossing guards and other support staff, thank you for providing our students with a sense of security and normalcy as they navigate their school day from start to finish.
Central office classified staff, thank you for your hard work in your departments and the support you provide our schools.
Thank you to everyone who gives of themselves every day to ensure our students are safe, healthy and ready to learn. We could not operate our schools without you.
