At Highline, we are committed to ensuring all students, families and staff feel welcomed, valued and safe. As part of this commitment, we have security procedures in place to protect everyone in our buildings.
Thanks to funding from the 2016 school bond, we have security video intercoms at school entrances. The security systems allow office staff to see and talk to visitors before unlocking the door.
Visiting Our Schools - What to Expect
- Always use the main entrance to enter the school.
- Press the button on the security video intercom to speak with office staff. Visitor instructions are posted in multiple languages near the intercom with reminders and instructions.
- Office staff will ask a few questions before letting you in.
- After entering, head straight to the front office to sign in and get a visitor badge.
A Reminder for All
To keep our schools secure, please do not open side or back doors for others—even if you recognize them. All visitors, including students from other schools, must use the main entrance and check in at the office. This ensures everyone on campus has a reason to be there and is properly vetted.
If you see someone inside without a visitor badge or staff lanyard, direct them to the main office.
Thank you for helping us create a safe and welcoming school for everyone!
