Dr. Shajaira López
Shajaira started her career in education at Inter-American Magnet School in Chicago Public Schools. Most recently, Shajaira was the Assistant Principal at Totem Middle School in Federal Way Public Schools for the 2018-19 school year. Shajaira has a Masters in Bilingual/Bicultural Education from Northeastern Illinois University (Chicago, IL), and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from National Louis University (Chicago, IL). Shajaira takes great pride in all that she does, but is particularly proud of the amount of work and energy she puts into advocating for students and families who need it most. Shajaira enjoys playing board games in her downtime. While Chess and Scrabble are her favorite, she laughs the most playing Uno and Taboo.
Marcello started his career in education teaching 1st grade at Butler Elementary in Washington, DC. Most recently, Marcello was the Assistant Principal at Evergreen High School and filled in as acting Principal during a maternity leave. Marcello studied Economics with a minor in Political Science and History at the University of Washington, received his Masters in Early Childhood Education from George Mason and his Masters in School Leadership from Harvard. Marcello’s professional accomplishment that he is most proud of is, “Graduating” each one of my fifth graders with a business plan and over two years of growth in reading and writing!” Marcello enjoys traveling and has visited over 20 countries.
